Chess Instructor
MAX SCHWARTZ
Max is a National Master who got his start at ICA at first as a student and then as a teacher. In his classes, Max tries to share not only his chess knowledge, but also his passion for the game. Many of his former students have gone on to teach chess themselves.
Despite his busy schedule, Max has represented ICA in the USATE tournaments since 2002, only missing one year. One of his proudest chess accomplishments was placing 5th (with a team of friends he made at ICA) in the 2017 USATE.
Max has a Master's degree in Computational Linguistics and works as a software enginee
